GS SEND ON TERMINAL LEAVE

Ms. Lebohang Ramohlanka who served as Government Secretary has been sent on a terminal leave by the Prime Minister, Dr Motsoahae Thabane with effect from July 06 this year.

Ms. Ramohlanka confirmed receiving a letter from the office of the Prime Minister on the said day at 4:00pm informing her to go on leave until the end of her tenure of office as the Government Secretary.

She however refused to state how long was the duration of her contract in that office but stated that she could only comment on the matter raised in the letter written to her.

Meanwhile, the Press Secretary to the Prime Minister's Office, Mr. Thabo Thakalekoala confirmed that Ms. Ramohlanka has been sent on terminal leave, adding that to Mr. Emmanuel Lesoma has been appointed to act in the position of Government Secretary. Mr. Emmanuel Lesoma was the Principal Secretary for the Ministry of Water.

Mr. Thakalekoala said the acting Government Secretary’s duties have also been effected from July 06 this year.

Ms. Ramohlanka was appointed as Government Secretary in September 2015 serving under the second Coalition Government of Lesotho which was led by the then Prime Minister, Dr Pakalitha Mosisili.
